Spring Break!

I hope that everyone has a relaxing spring break. Next week in Course 2 we will be exploring the percent proportion with a focus on word problems. In Pre-Algebra we will continue with solving equations. Here are the answers to the extra practice worksheets. Remember the more practice you do the more fluid the problems will become. Week of 3/21

Course 2 is wrapping up Chapter 8. I am very excited to see their scale drawing projects on Monday. Remember that there are points for neatness, creativity, labeling work, and the 12 problems. The students are then going to be working on percents, fractions and decimals. We we will briefly exploring the percent proportion before spring break.

Pre-Algebra students are really working hard on solving equations. This is a challenging chapter and we are moving right along!

Week of 3/7

I hope that everyone has an enjoyable four day weekend!

This week in Course 2 students will be using their new knowledge of ratios to solve proportions with a focus on word problems. Then they will be exploring scale drawings. There will be a quiz on Friday!

This week in Pre-Algebra the students will being learning real life application of percents. There will be a short quiz on Wednesday!
