Unit test course 3

Course 3 will have their test on Tuesday
No calculator
Identify rational or irrational numbers (10 problems)
Example 0.4 is rational because it terminates. The square root of 3 is irrational because it does not terminate or repeat (2 problems)
Convert to a fraction 1.2 and 0.2 repeating - you must use algebra for the repeating decimal.
Convert 1/3 into a fraction using long division (2 problems)
Put a square root on a number line (2 problems)

Calculator
Solve with square or cube root (3 problems)
Evaluate with exponents- example x to the -2 times x to the -5 is 1/x to the 7 (4 problems)
Operations with scientific notation ( 3 problems)
Standard to scientific notation (1 problem)
Scientific to standard (1 problem)
